This bead and embroidery piece is an interpretation of animals and motifs depicted in Namibian rock art made between 6 000 and 1000 years ago. The paintings and engravings are thought to have been made as part of religious rites, healing ceremonies and ultimately as a means of communication to transmit the cultural knowledge of the community.
